Rajiv is a business and operations professional with ~ 20 years of experience, 15 years of which have been spent in the highly competitive Telecom and Internet Services Markets with a rich and multi-dimensional experience across geographies and a track record of exceptional success.
Rajiv Rao is a Graduate in Commerce from Christ College, Bangalore University ('93) and has a Post Graduate Certification in Business Management from XLRI, Jamshedpur Prior to turning entrepreneur, Rajiv had worked for MYA as its CEO which was largely a rural supply chain solutions company which worked exclusively on the upstream end of the value chain, developing and refining the first-mile model in milk procurement to maximize the benefit to farmers.
Rajiv identified an opportunity in the retail Fruits & Vegetables (FnV) business and went about identifying & setting up of, premium retail store fronts which exclusively retailed only fruits and vegetables & operationalized the downstream retail channels from concept to execution.
Before joining MYA Rajiv was with Spectranet a start-up Wireless Broadband service provider at Nigeria as its COO in a highly competitive landscape. Battling sixteen competing and established operating firms he successfully steered the Launch of 4G Wimax services for Spectranet from “Network Dimensioning & Deployment to Revenue Commencement’.
Prior to MYA & Spectranet Rajiv was with India’s premier communications service provider, Tata Communications Internet Services Ltd as the Zonal Head-Operations responsible for the Small and Medium Establishment Business across the North and East Markets in India. In this capacity Rajiv was responsible for the entire business operations of the SMB business for the north and east zone right from customer acquisitions, service delivery, service assurance and end to end customer life cycle management.
He has been part of many successful companies like Reliance Communications, BPL & JTM/Airtel in various challenging assignments earlier.
Rajiv brings to Retailworx his strong orientation on conceptualization and operationalizing innovative retail delivery models and is proficient in developing & streamlining systems with proven ability to enhance operational effectiveness and meet operational goals within the cost, time & quality parameters.
Srinivas Doreswamy is a Graduate in Science from MES College, Bangalore ('78) and a Bachelor of Laws from Bangalore University (’81)
Srinivas is an Operations and Finance Hands-On professional with about 34 years of experience, initial 10 years of which was spent in Banking Operations with a Private Bank. The next 5 years were dedicated to Finance Operations with ITC, UB and he was instrumental in setting up the operations of Finance, Leasing and Hire Purchase for these two corporate giants in Bangalore.
With the advent of Merchant Banking in a big way, the next 5 years saw him setting up operations for Merchant Banking Unit in Bangalore for Prudential Group, based in Calcutta, and was the key player in successfully steering the BangaloreOffice to the second position in operations and earnings in India, second only to Mumbai Branch.
The work experience and the professional corporate environment to which he was exposed resulted in him turning a First-Generation entrepreneur successfully engaging his Private Company with the Storage Power sector by partnering Exide Industries in Industrial and Corporate Business and also the happening Telecom Sector by partnering Airtel in both the Retail stores and Back-office formats.
The initial foray into the Banking Sector embellished the discipline of Finance in Srinivas and when he moved out to Classic Financial Services Ltd of the ITC group, the corporate culture as well as the business model made him intensely aware of operational challenges and prepared him for execution of set deliverables in a very competitive environment. The shift to McDowell Krest Finance Ltd of the UB group saw the operations and administrative side flourish resulting in the move to Prudential Capital Markets Ltd of Prudential Group of Companies during which stint, as its Senior Vice President, he honed his skills in the Merchant Banking arena and managing Bangalore Regional office and its branches.
Srinivas brings to Retailworx his strong discipline in Operations and Finance and coupled with his foray into Entrepreneurship over the last 14 years, the operations of innovative delivery model in Retail, fine-tuning of deliverables to ensure optimum levels of operation as well as instilling a disciplined system in overall operations is rendered more effective.
Phaneesh is a Consumer Retail Industry professional with more than 4 years of experience in Sales Process, Channel Management & Man management, with a success record in delivering value and bringing plans to execution across multiple markets.
Phaneesh is an Engineer from BMS Institute of Technology, Bangalore and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Birla Institute of Management, Delhi NCR.
Prior to FreshWorld, he worked as an Area Manager in Bajaj Auto Ltd in the Auto Financing Vertical overseeing more than 18 districts in Karnataka and Goa for Collections. His efforts was successful in placing Karnataka as the leading state in India (x-5 bucket collections) consecutively for two years in 2013-14 and 2014-15.
He also had a brief stint in Titan Industries Ltd., in their Eyewear division, where his efforts helped to consolidate the sales strategy pan India for Titan Eye+. He was also a part of a Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) team in the field of Electronics & Communication Systems to US and UK Universities and Database Development using Debian GNU.
He is adept at setting up sales & operations networks swiftly while keenly understanding customer nuances. Phaneesh is a hustler and pushes the system to deliver ahead of time and is a positive catalyst to peer members around him.
Nagendra K is a strong fruits and vegetables domain industry & domain resource who has a rich and diverse experience in the Agriculture domain in general and fruits and vegetables in particular.
Nagendra has a good and thorough understanding of how wholesale markets and specialty markets function and an in-depth & segmented understanding of buying behaviours of large institutional buyers like Organized Retailers, Caterers, IT Companies, Charity Institutes and wholesalers.
Nagendra has 3 years of experience across different businesses and functions in the FnV & the QSR Sector. Nagendra has worked with NINJACART for two years, and till recently he was leading the Procurement , Sourcing and Operations verticals at NINJACART.
Nagendra has done a MBA in marketing and retail from NHCE Bangalore. He brings to FreshWorld his vast knowledge on the FnV category, rich understanding of how wholesale markets & farmer groups work. His understanding and read of what makes a customer tick, his calm temperament & diligent execution brings in tremendous value to FreshWorld.
